Laura Berry and Samantha Petric introduce themselves and share a preview of what’s ahead in CRANAplus’ 2026 Workforce Support Webinar series.

We’re Laura Berry and Samantha Petric, your new Workforce Support Coordinators at CRANAplus, and we’re excited to work alongside rural and remote health professionals across Australia.
Between us, we bring extensive experience from some of the country’s most challenging clinical environments – spanning remote primary health care, sexual and reproductive health, mental health, workforce education, and clinical leadership. What unites us is a strong commitment to supporting the rural and remote workforce, both professionally and personally, so clinicians feel confident, connected, and supported to deliver high-quality care where it’s needed most.
Our first major initiative is the CRANAplus Workforce Support Webinar Series – practical, engaging conversations with clinical experts on topics that matter to your practice.
2026 CRANAplus Webinar Series
Interactive clinical and professional development sessions tailored for rural and remote practice. Clinical topics will include:
- Rheumatic heart disease (RHD)
- Syphilis
- Maternity care
- Skin health
- Other priority areas for remote communities
We’ll also detail professional development and support opportunities:
- Mentoring programs
- Scholarships and grants
The focus will be on translating specialist knowledge into real world, context appropriate care that clinicians can apply immediately (see box above for planned topics).
Webinars will be interactive and designed to acknowledge the realities of working at a distance, often with limited resources but immense responsibility.
This series needs to reflect your priorities. If there are topics you’d like us to cover, emerging issues you’re seeing in practice, or areas where you’d value expert input, we want to hear from you.
Keep an eye on our social media channels for opportunities to suggest topics and get involved, or email workforcesupport@crana.org.au
We’re really looking forward to connecting with you in 2026 and working together to strengthen and support the rural and remote health workforce.
