Ongoing appointment is subject to possession of Graduate Diploma, or equivalent, beyond entry-to-practice relevant to specialty.
Working within an Education Hub, you will provide clinical leadership by coordinating education, training, and mentorship for staff across a multidisciplinary team. You will promote, develop and implement clinical best practice, in line with NT Health policies and procedures consistent with and compliment relevant NT Correctional Service directives and NT Police Watch House Orders at the Alice Springs Correctional Centre (ASCC) and Police Watch House (PWH).
This role supports primary health care services in correctional and remote settings, that operate seven days per week, with potential shift work requirements. To be eligible for the position you must be a registered nurse holding a current certificate of registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Whilst a postgraduate qualification is an essential requirement for ongoing appointment to this vacancy, all applicants will be assessed. If the most suitable applicant does not hold the qualification, they may be appointed on a fixed basis with ongoing appointment subject to attaining the qualification during the fixed term. One vacancy is available, either ongoing or fixed for 2 years.
