The Role
As a Nurse Clinical Specialist within the Men’s Health team, you will deliver specialist clinical outreach services to male clients across remote communities. This role requires a highly self-directed and motivated clinician who is committed to increasing the uptake of Male Adult Health Checks within the identified target group.
You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing clinical expertise to support coordinated and culturally responsive care. A key component of the role involves liaising with key stakeholders, community leaders, and service providers to develop and implement culturally appropriate strategies that enhance engagement and accessibility of health services for men.
The position also includes leading and participating in targeted health promotion initiatives aimed at improving male participation and strengthening engagement with preventative and primary health care services. Through these activities, you will contribute to improving overall health outcomes for men in remote communities.
About You
You’ll be a proactive and culturally responsive clinician, committed to improving Men’s Health outcomes. To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for same.
- High-level clinical knowledge and skills in Men’s Health or related field, supported by strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to a learning culture through clinical guidance and mentoring.
- Ability to travel to remote communities by 4WD or light aircraft as required
- A current vaccination certificate (or eligible to obtain)
- Hold a current NT driver’s licence (or eligible to obtain) and be confident driving a manual vehicle in regional and remote settings
