We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist – Child and Adolescent Mental Health to join our community-based team in the beautiful Gascoyne region of Western Australia.

Suitability Criteria:
Suitability recognises that a range of factors contribute to merit, including skills, knowledge, abilities, behaviours, ethical alignment and relevant operational requirements. The suitability requirements below are derived from the Job Description Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role:
- Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold (or be eligible to obtain) a current WA C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Demonstrated advanced experience in the assessment, case management and therapeutic intervention of children, adolescents and their families, with sound knowledge of emotional, behavioural, psychological and psychiatric disorders.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with young people, families, multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders, supported by strong communication, liaison and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated negotiation, problem-solving, analytical and conflict resolution skills, together with knowledge of the WA Mental Health Act 2014 and other relevant legislation governing mental health practice.
