As the Clinical Nurse Manager – Inpatients, you will play a pivotal role in leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care while shaping service improvement, workforce capability and clinical excellence. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the service, ensuring safe, high-quality, consumer-focused care and positive organisational outcomes.
- Lead and support multidisciplinary teams through advanced clinical expertise, professional guidance and effective workforce management.
- Manage human, financial and material resources, including staffing, recruitment, performance management and budget accountability.
- Drive clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and organisational policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, fostering collaboration, service excellence and continuous improvement.
Suitability Criteria: Suitability recognises that a range of factors contribute to merit, including skills, knowledge, abilities, behaviours, ethical alignment and relevant operational requirements. The suitability requirements below are derived from the Job Description Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role:
- Current eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with advanced clinical experience in maternity and/or acute inpatient care.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to effectively manage staff, resources and day-to-day service delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience contributing to quality improvement, clinical governance, service development and the successful implementation of change initiatives.
- Sound understanding of relevant healthcare legislation, workplace safety and equity principles, with a current (or eligible) C or C-A Class Driver’s Licence.
