An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Perioperative Services Manager to join a Private Hospital located in Central Queensland. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across the perioperative service, including Operating Theatres, Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), Day of Surgery Admission (DOSA), Day Surgery Unit and Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the efficient management of staff, resources and clinical services while maintaining high standards of patient safety, clinical governance and operational excellence. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will lead and mentor a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

The role focuses on optimising theatre utilisation, workforce management and resource allocation while ensuring compliance with Health Care standards, legislative requirements and best practice guidelines.

About You:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate nursing experience in the perioperative setting
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience within a clinical environment
  • Experience managing recruitment, rostering and performance management processes
  • Strong financial, workforce and resource management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Leadership and Management postgraduate qualifications or relevant specialty qualifications highly regarded
  • Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and excellence in care delivery
