What is the module about?

Looking for opportunities to develop your leadership skills and give back to the emerging remote health workforce as a mentor?

Effective mentoring relationships are beneficial for mentors, mentees and their work organisations. This learning module will prepare you to act as a mentor to a recent graduate, or even an experienced health professional needing support in a particular area.

We recommend you complete this course before participating in the LINKS Mentoring Program as a mentor.

All health professionals.

Why do the module?

Remote health professionals wanting to devleop their leadership skills and give back to the remote health workforce as a mentor.

What will you learn?

1. Assist health practitioners to develop or refresh knowledge and skills about mentoring and what’s involved in a mentoring relationship for both mentors and mentees (in both informal or formal mentoring agreements, such as LINKS).
2. Support the development of transferable leadership capabilities.
3. Build workforce capacity and opportunities for recent graduates, early career professionals and those new to rural and remote practice.
