Strategic Direction

To represent, support and educate the remote and isolated health workforce to promote the development and delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare.

CRANAplus’ Strategic Plan sets our direction for 2026–2031, grounded in our purpose of supporting the rural, remote and isolated health workforce—and translates into clear priorities and actions that strengthen our impact, sustainability and service delivery.

Built around six strategic pillars, the plan focuses on Operational Excellence, Financial Sustainability, Cultural Safety and Cultural Capability, Sector Engagement and Advocacy, Membership Value and Growth, and Quality and Innovation in Service Delivery.

Importantly, our former First Peoples Strategy has been embedded throughout this plan and is now elevated as its own dedicated pillar, reflecting our commitment to Cultural Capability, Cultural Safety and Cultural Responsiveness, and to elevating First Peoples’ voice, partnership and accountability across all we do.

Together, these pillars provide a clear roadmap for how we will deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes for our Members, stakeholders and the communities we serve.
