The Role:

In conjunction with the Inter-professional Team coordinates the day to day patient care activities of the Ward/Unit, including identifying and implementing processes for admission, transfers, and discharge of Ward/Unit patients.

You will bring: 

  • Paediatric Clinical Expertise: Sound understanding of child development, paediatric conditions, and age-appropriate nursing care.
  • Compassion and Empathy: Ability to engage with children and families in a supportive and respectful manner.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills in dynamic settings.
  • Communication Skills: Clear, age-appropriate communication and effective collaboration with families and colleagues.
  • Resilience and Adaptability: Capacity to manage emotional demands and adjust to changing clinical priorities.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative approach within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Respect for diverse cultural backgrounds, values, and family structures.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, part time, shift worker position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from 16 January 2025 until 20 March 2027.

Salary: $109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Allowances: 

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
