As the Nurse Education Coordinator – Primary Health, you will provide leadership, education and clinical support to remote healthcare teams across the East Arnhem Region. Working closely with staff, you will help strengthen clinical capability, promote best practice, support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality Primary Health Care services within remote communities.
About you
You are a passionate and experienced Remote Area Nurse with strong leadership and education skills who thrives in dynamic and diverse environments.
To be successful, you will have:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA), or eligibility to obtain registration.
- Experience in the development and delivery of education and training programs within a healthcare setting.
- Advanced clinical nursing or midwifery knowledge with the ability to apply adult learning principles across a range of education methods.
- Proven ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate education programs that support organisational needs and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of the social, cultural and community factors that influence healthcare delivery and education within remote settings.

Housing for this position is based in the beautiful seaside town of Alyangula, Groote Eylandt which is situated roughly 50 kilometres from the Northern Territory mainland in the Gulf of Carpentaria.
