What are the CRANAplus Undergraduate Remote Placement Scholarships?

Each year CRANAplus offers a total of six $1000 scholarships.
These scholarships are available to students who as part of their undergraduate course of study in any health discipline at an Australian university, undertake a remote location placement.

The scholarship provides financial assistance of up to $1000 per applicant, per remote placement, and is intended to provide assistance towards the cost of fares, accommodation and other incidental costs incurred by a student undertaking a remote placement. 

To be eligible for this scholarship the applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student in a health discipline and be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Preference in the first instance will go to CRANAplus members.

Funding for the same purpose must not have been received from any other source.
Applications for financial assistance will close on 31st August 2010.

Announcement of Successful Applications

Individuals will be advised by email or telephone. Successful applicants will be officially announced at the CRANAplus conference dinner, 16 October 2010. A representative of the National Rural Student Health Network student body will accept the scholarship on behalf of any successful applicant who is not present at the conference.

It is an expectation recipients will submit a summary of approximately 500 words of their experience for inclusion in our quarterly publication the CRANAplus Magazine
