Health Centre Staffing Manager Description
($86,494 - $91,053)

As part of the leadership team the Health Centre Staffing Manager will support the Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) model of integrated multidisciplinary comprehensive primary health care. The role will have a strong focus on ensuring remote health centres are staffed by appropriately skilled and experienced clinicians, with particular attention to the provision of adequate support and direction to those staff engaged in health centre operations. Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse or the NT Health Practitioner Registration Board as an Aboriginal Health Worker will be required.

Clinical Quality Coordinator
($68,799 - $83,117)

The Clinical Quality Coordinator (CQC) will provide clinical leadership for Katherine West Health Board, specifically in the areas of orientation, ongoing training, clinical compliance and clinical quality improvement. In collaboration with the health leadership team the CQC will develop pathways for excellence in clinical practice and chronic conditions management. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health discipline will be required.

Chronic Disease Coordinator
($68,799 - $83,117)

The Chronic Disease Program Coordinator (CDPC) will provide leadership to primary health care staff in the management of clients with chronic disease in the Katherine West region.  The CDPC will provide guidance and support to health service staff to increase activity in all programs covered by the Chronic Disease Strategy, with specific focus on improving outcomes in early detection and self management of chronic disease. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health discipline will be required.

Katherine is a tropical town located 300km south of Darwin with extensive recreational facilities and services as well as easy access to the Top End’s spectacular attractions including Kakadu, Nitmiluk and Gregory National Parks.

RAHC Description

The Remote Area Health Corps (RAHC) has been established to attract urban-based health professionals to provide short-term staffing needs for remote Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory. We need doctors, nurses, dental and allied health professionals. Placements are paid and from as little as three weeks.
